About this project

Supported by DT Global and operating over six months with a budget of $97,250, the Media Hub project is a collaborative workspace based in Nairobi that caters to Sudanese media professionals, journalists, and civic actors. Within this secure, resource-equipped environment, practitioners can access production tools, editing suites, and reliable internet connections—essential for accurate reporting and community engagement. Beyond the physical space, the Hub offers training sessions on conflict-sensitive journalism, storytelling for social impact, and digital security.

Networking events foster collaboration among diverse media actors, encouraging cross-sector partnerships that amplify social change. Participants share knowledge on peacebuilding approaches, produce joint content, and develop professional bonds critical for robust and resilient reporting under challenging circumstances. By uniting likeminded creators in a supportive setting, the Media Hub ensures a steady flow of credible information and fosters informed discourse that prioritizes civic engagement, accountability, and peace in Sudan and the wider region.
