Pathways for Peace
A webinar series boosting youth employability, conflict resolution, and digital advocacy, hosted on the British Council’s platform.

About this project
Pathways for Peace is a six-month webinar series co-created with the British Council to strengthen Sudanese youth’s employability, conflict resolution, and digital advocacy skills. Leveraging the British Council’s established platform, the project delivered live and on-demand content featuring local Sudanese experts and UK-affiliated professionals. Topics included job readiness (resume writing, interview techniques), mental well-being in conflict zones, and digital engagement to counter hate speech and disinformation.
A total of 234 unique attendees joined the interactive sessions, representing various regions and professional backgrounds across Sudan and neighboring areas. Participants reported a heightened sense of preparedness for the job market and a stronger grasp of peacebuilding tactics. The program’s flexible, tech-forward approach proved vital for youth facing unreliable internet access, as they could catch up via recorded modules. By combining international perspectives with culturally grounded examples, Pathways for Peace elevated dialogue around non-violent leadership and provided a foundation for sustainable community engagement.
